About the Lake City EDA

The Economic Development Authority (EDA) of Lake City, Minnesota was established in 1987 to promote business expansion and economic diversification for our community.

We are a professional and confidential advocate of the business community. We provide ideas, information, venture capital, financial packaging, and business development expertise. We focus on programs and projects that aim to make Lake City a better place to live, work, and do business.

The EDA works in partnerships with local community organizations, area utilities, the Small Business Development Center, and the State Government.

The mission of the Economic Development Authority is to foster the development of a strong, diversified and balanced economic base, and create a favorable climate for ongoing business activities that bring jobs and industry to the Lake City area.
