Erin Sparks - Executive Director

Erin Sparks began with the Lake City EDA in January of 2009 as the executive director, and is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the authority. Sparks is a business development specialist with the Southeastern Minnesota Development Corporation (SEMDC) and a small business counselor through the Rochester Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Prior to joining the Lake City EDA, Sparks worked with SEMDC colleagues on a number of economic and community development projects throughout the region, including organizing an event to highlight alternative agriculture opportunities within the Goodhue County region. Before that, Sparks worked in community development with the City of Woodbury focusing on planning and economic development.

Sparks is originally from Hayfield Minnesota, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in community development with an emphasis in economic development from Saint Cloud State University. She is involved with the Economic Development Association of Minnesota and the Rochester Small Business Development Center.
